The Florence Carlton Community Church praise band uses a contemporary music format with emphasis on CCLI top 50 songs. Practice is on most Thursday evenings at 6:00 – 7:30 at the church and all are welcome to come and see what we are all about.
The focus of the praise band is to help facilitate the assembled body in corporate worship. Anyone with heart for reaching others through music is welcome to attend. Our entire team is a volunteer group and we encourage anyone with musical talent to come and join. We do not offer any formal training in instrumentation or vocals, but don’t let the fact that you may be a little rusty dissuade you from coming. We are NOT a professional group but a certain level of competency is required.
There are also opportunities to serve in the technical aspects of worship, we are always looking for backup soundboard operators and video people. We use Easy worship software and both of these positions are very easy to train up on if you are unfamiliar with the systems.
Help Wanted!
We welcome people to come and get involved all the time but now we have a need for a new video operator.
The video operator is a Sunday only position also and requires you to be at the church at 10:30 to get the song list finalized on the computer and talk to the worship leader. We use Easy Worship software and after you learn the system, you can show up at 10:45. The job only requires that you can hear the music and follow along clicking the appropriate screen when the words are being sung.
