Who is Jesus Christ?

Default SquareThere are hundreds of Old Testament prophesies concerning a Messiah that God would send to save mankind from sin. The Messiah, or Christ, would be born of a virgin in Bethlehem and be from the linage of King David. He would suffer and die for our sins but his body would not decay. He would be resurrected and rule over an eternal kingdom.

Remarkable details of the type of suffering he would endure, the betrayal for 30 pieces of silver, and that his executioners would gamble for his clothes were revealed in scriptures hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection.

The fulfillment of ancient prophesies confirms Jesus as the Christ, the innocent Lamb of God who was sacrificed to pay a sin debt on our behalf.

After his death, Jesus supernaturally rose from his tomb and appeared to his disciples and eventually to over 500 other people. Immediately after his death, his disciples were scattered, disillusioned and confused. After his resurrection, they were galvanized and focused on one message: Jesus, the Son of God truly was the Messiah that the Old Testament had foretold.

Jesus ascended to heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father, to send the Holy Spirit to us and to prepare a place for us. Can one life really change the world? Jesus did.
