Florence-Carlton Community Church is an interdenominational church. We believe there are primary and secondary issues in faith. The primary issues are those that there can be no disagreement about; the secondary issues are not central to Christian belief and we leave compromise as an option between members of differing denominations.
Florence-Carlton Community Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Conference primarily for administrative purposes. The governing body of the church is the Church Council, comprised of six church members who are elected to 3-year terms of office. The Pastor is an ex-officio member of the Council as well. Business meetings are held monthly and are open to the congregation.
Church membership may be obtained by attending orientation sessions and appearing before the Council and congregation for acceptance and welcoming into the church family.
